LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) and Urban Unit have formed sixteen joint teams for preparation of a new master plan for Lahore and coordinated commercialisation policy to control illegal constructions in the areas under the LDA control.
According to a report quoting an LDA spokesman, a new survey has been launched with cooperation of the Urban Unit for the preparation of new Lahore master plan as the current city plan will expire in 2021.
He said the area under LDA control has now been extended to the whole Lahore Division and changes in construction rules and regulations are need of the hour to meet the new challenges.
