LAHORE: The Punjab Dolphin Force foiled a bank a robbery bid worth millions of rupees in Green Town area of the capital city on Sunday and arrested six including a security guard.
In connivance of the security guard, five robbers entered the bank after opening the locks. They sprayed paint on the CCTV camera before breaking the lockers inside the bank.
However, upon receiving a tip, vigilant squads of the Dolphin Force and Police Response Unit (PRU) cordoned off the bank and later nabbed all the robbers and security guard.
A total of Rs 90 million in foreign and local currency and 20kg of gold (in jewellery) was recovered from the robbers who are being interrogated after registration of a case against them.
