PM Imran to visit UAE on Sunday

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan is expected to leave for a one-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday.

The premier is expected to hold meetings with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other senior officials.

According to reports, PM Imran will discuss economic assistance package with the UAE government.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi is already in the UAE and held a meeting with his UAE counterpart Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayad Alnahiyan in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.

On Tuesday, the premier is scheduled to lead a senior delegation for a two-day visit to Malaysia as well. PM Imran’s visit to Malaysia will be the first by any foreign leader since Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad assumed office in the South East Asian nation.

Prime Minister Imran Khan and Mahathir Mohamad are also scheduled to hold a one-on-one meeting as well.
