KARACHI: One man was injured when a speeding car ploughed into a lamp-post in the early hours of Thursday morning Karachi’s I.I. Chundrigar Road, authorities said.
According to reports, the car was at such a high speed that on impact, it wrapped itself around the lamppost on the opposite side lane of the road.
Rescue sources said the driver, who was wounded, was moved to a nearby hospital.
Earlier this morning, a water tanker flipped over early Thursday morning at Karachi’s Hassan Square interchange, authorities confirmed, but there were no fatalities.
According to police, the tanker’s driver was injured during the crash and was subsequently moved to a nearby hospital.
The tanker, however, also managed to hit a car when it met with the accident.
