The federal government does not have any plans to grant India the status of Most Favoured Nation (MFN), Adviser to Prime Minister for Commerce, Textile, Industry and Investments Abdul Razak Dawood said on Tuesday, a local media outlet reported.
While addressing a gathering of journalists, Dawood said that Pakistan’s cement exports are rising and are likely to reach 20 million tonnes soon.
“There are some petty issues which can be resolved. Our current production is 55m tonnes. The volume of our cement-related exports at present is 5m tonnes and is expected to touch 20m tonnes worth $1 billion in future,” he said.
Dawood said that the government was working on Free-Trade Agreements (FTA) with a number of countries and that an FTA with China would be agreed by June next year.
