Fakhar, Shadab achieve career-best rankings

DUBAI: Pakistan opening batsman Fakhar Zaman and bowler Shadab Khan achieved career-high rankings in the updated ICC ODI rankings.

Zaman jumped six places to reach career-best 11th position owing to a flabbergasting performance in recent series against New Zealand in which he scored 88 and 65 respectively while the third match was cancelled due to heavy rain.

While Khan, who took six wickets in the series including four for 38 in the second match, moved to the 24th position, jumping 16 positions.

Teenage speed gun Shaheen Afridi took nine wickets to bag the “Player of the Series” award. He jumped 66 places to reach 118th position.

Bowling sensation Hasan Ali remains Pakistan’s top-ranked bowler with 13th position despite a downfall in personal ranking.
