Executive Committee of PM Endowment Fund approves five archaeology, heritage projects

ISLAMABAD: The Executive Committee of Prime Minister (PM) Endowment Fund for Archeology and Literary Heritage in a meeting held here on Tuesday approved five projects related to the promotion of calligraphy and preservation of archaeological sites in the capital.

The meeting was chaired by Federal Minister for National History and Literary Heritage (NH&LH) Shafqat Mahmood while NH&LH Division Federal Secretary Engineer Aamir Hasan, Joint Secretary Syed Junaid Akhlaq and other officials were present on the occasion.

The projects approved during the meeting include Conservation and Preservation of Buddha Stupa and Mosque at Ban Faqiran, Conservation and Preservation of Shah Allah Ditta Caves, Upgradation of Islamabad Museum, Arrangement of Calligraphy Exhibition and International Calligraphy Books Exhibition.

The committee also gave approvals for by-laws of the Archeology and Literary Heritage Endowment Fund.

The Archeology and Literary Heritage Endowment Fund was established with a seed money of Rs500 million to promote archaeology, national history and literary activities in Pakistan.
