A teenage girl has allegedly been gunned down in Gakhar Mandi by her father and uncle on the pretext of honour, a private media outlet reported.
According to reports, Sara, aged 16, had asked her father, Sohail Butt if she could marry a person of her own choice.
Sohail along with his brother, Tumba, reportedly a local Pakistan Muslim League-N leader, opened fire on Sara and then quietly buried her in a nearby graveyard, reported local media
Police registered a case and started an investigation during which it was revealed that Sara had been murdered by her father and uncle.
Police arrested the girl’s father while her uncle managed to escape.
