Earlier, MNAs from Peshawar had informed the speaker about the problems arising from low gas pressure in the city and its adjacent areas.

The NA speaker has stated that the provisions of basic facilities and resolutions of people’s problems are the government’s priorities and steps are being taken for this purpose, said a press release issued here on Sunday.

During the meeting, the speaker said that the people of Peshawar and its surrounding areas are facing a plethora of problems due to the low pressure of Sui Gas during winter.

He directed the officials of SNGPL to resolve the matter immediately in view of the public’s distress.

Amjad Latif and Saqib Arbab told the speaker that a mega project has been initiated to solve the problem.

Under this project, a new 32 Km long transmission line is being attached with the existing transmission line from Dara Adam Khel to Hayatabad. The project will be completed in December this year.

The SNGPL MD further added that gas lines are also being upgraded in the city. He assured the speaker that the new transmission line would reduce the low pressure of gas in the concerned areas.
