‘Thugs of Hindostan’ gets leaked online

Thugs of Hindostan may have broken the record for the biggest opening in Bollywood’s history but the film received savage responses from the audiences and critics. And it appears that the makers of the film will have to face more disappointed as it has been reported that the film has been leaked online, just hours after its release.

According to an Indian publication, the film made its way to the piracy website Tamil Rockers hours after its release.

The film starring Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh opened at around Rs 50 crore net, making it the biggest Diwali release ever.

While, the box office opening was impressive, analyst Taran Adarsh noted that the film’s real test begins from Friday.

“Historic day 1 business was expected, but the real test for Thugs Of Hindostan begins from today onwards. Will have to maintain the pace over the weekend [Fri to Sun] and also on weekdays to put up a massive total. Wait and watch situation right now!,” he wrote on Twitter.

However, the film, directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya of Dhoom 3 fame and produced under the umbrella of Yash Raj Films, got negative reviews from the critics and audiences.

Nonetheless, there were some who said that the film wasn’t all that bad and praised Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan for their performances and Katrina Kaif for her dancing skills.
