The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Wednesday sealed all offices of Shaheen Air, according to a local media report.
The report said the all offices of the private airline, including its head office in Karachi, were sealed by the CAA’s airport manager. Employees of the private airline could also not take along their belongings in the wake of sudden action by the authority, it added.
The workers requested the airport manager to allow them to take their belongings but were denied to do so, the report claimed.
When reached for comment, the CAA spokesperson expressed lack of knowledge regarding the closure of Shaheen Air offices.
The private airline has already had its flight operation suspended over non-payment of dues, the report said, adding that the employees have also not been paid for the past five months.
