NAB rejects removal of Pervez Ashraf, Javed Qazi’s names from ECL

ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal on Thursday rejected the applications for removal of names of former premier Raja Pervez Ashraf and ex-railways minister Gen (r) Javed Ashraf Qazi from the Exit Control List (ECL).

There are cases of corruption of billions of rupees against both accused who gave applications to the NAB chairman to allow them to travel abroad.

The NAB chairman rejected their applications and ordered the investigating officers to complete probe against them.

Javed Ashraf Qazi was the railways minister in the tenure of General (r) Pervez Musharaf and he allegedly did corruption in the procurement of railways engines from China.
