ISLAMABAD: National Assembly (NA) Speaker Asad Qaiser has said that Pakistan supports parliamentary links among all countries for the progress and prosperity of the region.
Talking to British High Commissioner (BHC) Thomas Drew here on Thursday, he said that the parliamentarians of the two countries can benefit from each other through an exchange of visits, Radio Pakistan reported.
The speaker said that exchange of visits of parliamentary delegations will help improve legislation and working of the standing committees of parliament.
The British high commissioner said that continuity of democratic process in Pakistan will strengthen institutions.
He said that the British government and parliament are ready to cooperate for the capacity building of parliament’s members and staff.
