A four-year-old child was rescued on Tuesday by a Rescue 1122 team after he fell into a borehole in a village near Sahiwal, a local media outlet reported on Tuesday.
At a depth of 50 feet, the borehole was dug on Monday to provide water to the village but no lid was placed above the 12-inch wide opening.
The child, identified as Adeeb, fell into the borehole while playing. Locals immediately called the rescue teams who used an iron hook attached to a rope to pull the child out to safety.
