The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was too early to pick the Man of the Match (MoM) as it made the announcement before even the finish of the first half of the opening ODI match between New Zealand and Pakistan.
The board, on its official Twitter account, declared Shadab Khan as the MoM. After realising the mistake, the PCB deleted the tweet.
In fact, the PCB wanted to tweet the wicket of Colin de Grandhomme after Shadab bowled him a lovely leg break delivery which was taken at first slip by Babar Azam.
The PCB’s Twitter handle, presumably by mistake, tweeted it as the Man of the Match winner.
