KARACHI: Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Kaleem Imam on Tuesday instructed all the deputy inspector generals (DIGs) to ensure security for Diwali festivities across the province.
The police chief said that security plans for Lakshmi Pooja and worship places of the minority community should be discussed with the dignitaries of the community. He further said that a foolproof security plan for the three-day Diwali would be ensured.
Imam instructed that in order to avoid any unpleasant incident, additional policemen should be deployed to the temples and their surroundings.
