Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) dissident Chaudhry Nisar on Tuesday stated that he is still a part of the party despite his reservations that he has had in the past, a private media outlet reported.
He made these statements while talking to the first time after his defeat in the general elections of July 25 general elections.
He, however, added that “situation would have been different” if former PM Nawaz Sharif would have paid heed to his advice.
It merits a mention here that Chaudhry Nisar contested July 25 polls as an independent candidate on four seats – NA-59 (Rawalpindi), NA 63 (Taxila) and Punjab Assembly’s PP-10 and PP-12 on ‘jeep’ symbol.
Nisar, however, could only manage to win the PP-10 Chakri seat.
During a number of election rallies, Nisar had openly expressed his differences with the PML-N’s central leadership and had expressed anger over the fact that he was asked to apply for the party ticket.
