ISLAMABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister (PM) Raja Farooq Haider has called upon international community to help the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) in attaining their right to self-determination as envisaged in the United Nations (UN) resolutions.

He was addressing a conference held in connection with 11th Kashmir-European Union (EU) week taking place in Brussels from November 5 to November 8.

The AJK PM gave an elaborate account of the ever growing atrocities being committed by the Indian forces in IOK for the last 70 years.

He said that India is changing the demography in the areas under its occupation which is alarming. He stressed upon countries of EU to play their role in helping international investigators gain access to IOK.

In his remarks, Member European Parliament (MEP) Sajjad Karim said that at a time when international economic and trade agreements are being reviewed around the world, it should be taken into account that trade with India must be linked to the human rights situation in occupied Kashmir.

He praised the government of Pakistan for its unflinching support to the just cause of the people of IOK over the past seven decades.

MEP Wajid Khan drew attention to the alarming situation in occupied Kashmir where international human rights organisations like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch (HRW) are being blocked from working.
