CJP refuses to rest, will resume work from Tuesday

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Monday said that he would get back to work from Tuesday.

CJP Nisar underwent an angioplasty procedure on Sunday with the doctors having advised him to rest for at least four days. Two balloon stents were inserted in Justice Nisar’s heart during the procedure.

However, he left the premises of the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology on Monday and remarked he would resume his duties from Tuesday.

On Monday, in accordance with medical advice, important cases heard by bench number one of the Supreme Court were delisted by the apex court for the day.

Zulfi Bukhari’s disqualification, money laundering and pilots and cabin crew qualification degrees were important cases the bench was scheduled to hear on Monday.
