ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police on Monday arrested 11 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered narcotics, stolen bike and weapons from them, a police spokesman said.
Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Syed Muhammad Amin Bukhari directed to accelerate efforts to curb the menace of drug pushing. Following these efforts, a police spokesman said that a team led by Saddar Zone SP Umer Khan and Sub-Inspector Ghulam Shabbir arrested two drug pushers from sector F-11/2 involved in supplying drugs at educational institutions. They have been identified as Asad Shabbir and Shahid while police team also recovered 300 grams of hashish, 103 grams of heroin and eight grams of ice from their possession.
Meanwhile, Tarnol SHO Sub-Inspector Iqbal Gujar and others, during a special checking near Pind Parian Stop, arrested a lady Sadia Bano and recovered 10.500 grams of hashish from her. The police team also arrested two drug peddlers namely Abdul Qayum and Tariq besides recovering 1.390 grams of heroin from their possession.
ASI Haider Ali from CIA police arrested two bootleggers namely Faisal Khan and Shaour Masih and recovered 60 litres of wine from their possession. ASI Sargul Khan arrested Shahbaz Masih and recovered 30 litres of wine and 80 empty bottles from him.
ASI Zafar Iqbal from Koral police arrested Khawar Abbas and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him. ASI Sajjad from Sihala police arrested Ibrahim involved in selling petroleum products illegally.
ASI Qasim Zia nabbed Arbab and for having one 30 bore pistol each. Cases were registered against them and further investigation is underway.
Islamabad SSP Syed Muhammad Amin Bukhari appreciated the performance of the policemen and directed all police officials to remain vigilant in their respective areas and to ensure the arrest of those involved in the ugly business of drug pushing.
