PESHAWAR: A threat alert was issued to Jamiat Ulema-e Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman by Peshawar Police on Saturday.
A Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Peshawar wrote a letter to the JUI-F chief informing that “he faces security threats and visited Peshawar despite them”.
Maulana Fazlur Rahman was advised not to travel to Peshawar due to the threats.
Following the death of Jamiat Ulema Islam-Sami (JUI-S) chief Maulana Samiul Haq on Friday, JUI-F leader Rashid Soomro asked for foolproof security for Maulana Fazlur Rahman.
