Trains’ operation continued despite countrywide sit-ins

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Railways spokesman here on Friday said that train operations continued despite the sit-ins by religious parties and security situation across the country.

“Additional General Manager (AGM) of Pakistan Railways, Abdul Hameed Razi, along with his operational team is monitoring the operations in the whole country,” the spokesman said.

He said that Shalimar Express from Faisalabad to Karachi, Farid Express from Lahore to Karachi and Akber Express from Quetta to Lahore have departed from their respective stations as per schedule.

The spokesman said that Bolan Mail from Quetta to Karachi, Shalimar Express from Karachi to Lahore, Millat Express from Malakwal and Allama Iqbal Express from Sialkot to Lahore and Karachi also left their stations on time.

Similarly, Karakoram Express from Faisalabad to Karachi, Zakariya Express from Karachi to Multan, Bolan Mail from Karachi to Quetta, Farid Express, Shah Hussain Express, Green Line Express and Khyber Mail will leave for their destination as per schedule.
