Rain kills three, damages roads in KP

PESHAWAR: Rain showers in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) killed at least three people, several were injured and dozens of houses and road infrastructure was damaged.

KP Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Managing Director said that a man had died after being swept away by a flooding nallah in Upper Dir as the area received heavy rain.

A young girl died and three others were injured as the Dilapidated wall of a house collapsed due to rain in Upper Dir.

One person died while some others were injured when a big land mass fell over a house in a suburban area of district Shangla.

Meanwhile, more than a dozen were injured in separate rain-related incidents in different areas of the province.

The bodies and injured were shifted to different hospitals of respective areas where the condition of some injured people was stated to be serious.

The rain and snowfall in mountainous areas also lowered the temperature forcing the citizens to wear warm clothes and coats to protect them from the harsh cold.
