SRINAGAR: Another youth was martyred by the Indian troops on Friday during an operation in the Baramulla district of Indian-occupied Kashmir (IoK).
Educational institutes were closed off in protest against the killing; internet services were suspended across IoK by the Indian authorities.
However, a number of protesters gathered to protest against the killing of the youth.
Last month, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry condemned the killing of innocent Kashmiris at the hands of Indian troops.
He said that the increase in use of violence against civilians “is a confession of Indian defeat at the hands of Kashmiris”.
It was reported that 39 Kashmiris including a woman were martyred by Indian troops during the month of October.
According to the data issued by the research section of Kashmir Media Service, five of those martyred were killed in ‘fake’ encounters.
