Rainfall likely at scattered places, dry weather to continue in other parts

ISLAMABAD: Rain-thunderstorm (snowfall over the hills) with gusty wind is expected at scattered places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) while at isolated places in plain areas of Punjab during next 24 hours, while dry weather to continue in other parts.

Rainfall is likely in Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Peshawar, Kohat, Rawalpindi divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, while at isolated places in Sargodha, Lahore and Gujranwala divisions during this time of span.

A western disturbance is affecting upper parts of the country and may persist till Friday, an official of the Met office told APP.

In the last 24 hours, the weather remained dry in most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm occurred at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Lowest temperature recorded on Thursday remained: Skardu -03°C, Kalam 01°C, Gilgit 04°C, Quetta 08°C, Muzaffarabad 11°C, Murree 11°C, Peshawar 14°C, Islamabad 16°C, Lahore 18°C, Multan 18°C and Karachi, Faisalabad 19°C.
