ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain Thursday said that the government would inform the people about its 100-day plan on November 9 and tell the tasks it succeeded in completing and the steps that were still to be taken.
Addressing a press conference in the capital, Fawad said that the Privatisation Board in its meeting had decided to delay privatisation of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Steel Mills as it was not possible to sell them without restructuring.
He said that the First Women Bank, 1,223 MW Balloki Power Plant, 1,230 MW Haveli Bahadar Power Plant, Lakhra Coal Mines, Jinnah Convention Centre and Services International Hotel, Lahore would be put up for sale while the government shares of Marri Petroleum would also be disinvested.
He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan, during his visit to China, would stress on transfer of technology.
Fawad informed that the government had appointed Major General Fiaz Hussain Shah as inspector general (IG) of Balochistan Frontier Corps (FC), Major General Rahat Hussain as IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Frontier Corps, and as the chairman of Wage Board Award had resigned, Justice Hasnaat Ahmed Khan was appointed as the new chairman.
To a question, the minister said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would now focus on job creation, agriculture and skills development. The government’s plan would focus on skill development and education, he added.
