QUETTA: District and Sessions Judge Mubeen Ali sentenced a police constable to death on two counts on Wednesday after it was proved that he raped a girl as well as other children.
According to a report in the local media, Constable Tayyab Raza Kazmi, a resident of Police Line, Quetta, was arrested in 2015 for sexually assaulting the little daughter of a police officer. Pictures showing him raping the girl were found in his laptop.
Later, investigations revealed that the accused was involved in raping and taking pictures of other children, evidence of which was discovered in his laptop and mobile phone. The victim children during identification had recognised the accused.
Following the hearings and testimony of witnesses, the court awarded death sentence to the accused twice.
