PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Wednesday stopped National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from arresting former Nowshera nazim, Daud Khattak, in a housing society scam and sought a report from the bureau.
Justice Rohul Amin, while hearing the case of former Nazim Nowshera, questioned how the bureau could interfere in the affairs of a private housing scheme since it was properly advertised.
Justice Rohul Amin further asked how millions of rupees were misappropriated since there was no complaint by the public.
It is pertinent to mention here that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP)- NAB had authorised a reference against former Daud Khattak in the Khushhal Garden Housing Society which was challenged in PHC by the former nazim himself.
