ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court on Tuesday maintained life imprisonment of ten-year girl’s molester Abid Hamid while rejecting his appeal against sentence.
A two-judge bench headed by Justice Manzoor Malik dismissed appeal challenging Lahore High Court decision of life imprisonment.
Punjab Deputy Prosecutor Mirza Adid informed the bench that all evidence are clean, clear and enough to prove guilty the culprit.
He pleaded that the molester does not deserve any mercy and requested the bench to reject the culprit’s appeal.
Subsequently, the bench, after going through the arguments placed by counsels of the litigants at length, dismissed the appeal.
It may be added that Abid Hamid, resident of Lahore’s Harbanspura, was given life imprisonment after found guilty in the case by trial court in 2007, which was later upheld by the high court.
