Pak-China passenger bus service to begin from Nov 3

LAHORE: A private company is set to launch a bus service connecting Pakistan and China from November 3 as part of the flagship China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

According to the chief executive officer (CEO) of the company, Muhammad Anwar, the bus service will further boost the friendly relations between Pakistan and China.

Priced at Rs13,000 for a one-way and Rs23,000 for a two-way trip, the bus will travel between Lahore and Tashkurgan in China.

In order to make the trip, the passengers will need a valid visa, passport, CNIC and return ticket.

According to the proposed schedule, the buses will depart from Lahore on Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday and on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from China.

The 30-hour long journey will begin from Lahore at 12AM with stops in Manshera (breakfast), Besham (lunch), Chilas (Tea) and Gilgit (dinner). There will also be stops for security check at Khunjerab Pass and the arrival time would be 3PM the next day.

The company offers premium buses and passengers can book their rides from Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
