‘OPC pursuing comprehensive policy to facilitate expats’

LAHORE: Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab Vice Chairperson Waseem Akhtar on Tuesday said that on the special instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, OPC was engaged in providing various services to expatriates and a comprehensive policy was being pursued to facilitate them.

Presiding over a departmental meeting, he said that overseas Pakistanis were real ambassadors of the country and the main purpose behind the establishment of OPC was to provide them with a useful and effective platform for the solution of their problems.

He said that OPC was working on fast track basis and thousands of expatriates had been provided relief by OPC so far. “The commission is also playing an active role in settling the issues of overseas Pakistanis.”

Certain complaints of overseas Pakistanis were discussed in detail during the meeting and OPC VC issued necessary instructions to officers concerned for a vigorous pursuance of pending complaints.
