An international airline operating between Dubai and Islamabad has not used a passenger boarding bridge since an accident earlier this month at the Islamabad International Airport when a bridge collapsed, a local media outlet reported on Monday.

However, three of the boarding bridges are being used by other airlines with ‘safety concerns’. According to reports, the airlines have also asked the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to conduct a safety audit of the bridges.

12 of the 15 boarding bridges in possession of airport authorities are currently being inspected by engineers.
