Shoaib Malik now holds record of most catches in T20I history


After beating South Africa’s AB De Villiers and New Zealand’s Ross Taylor, Pakistani all-rounder Shoaib Malik now holds the record of most catches in the history of T20 International.

The senior player took his 45th catch in 3rd T20I against Australia in Dubai on Sunday and Twitter is all praises for him.

Sports journalist Mirza Iqbal Baig tweeted: “ surpassed AB De Villiers & Ross Taylor’s record of 44 catches in T20 Internationals with 45 catches in 105 matches, congratulations to super fit.”

Praising Malik, one social media user wrote: “When someone fires a bullet at Shoaib Malik.. Catches win matches! .”

‘Exposing’ Malik, another wrote: “Shoaib Malik is a fraud. He is not 36 years old. No Way! Commentators think he is 21.. .”
