–IED blast in Bajaur injures four
SHABQADAR: A Khasadar official was martyred in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in the Mohmand district on Monday.
As per the details, Esa Khan was going on foot to a check post in Safi tehsil when a remote-controlled IED went off.
Security forces reached the spot and shifted Esa to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Earlier in the day, at least four people were injured in an improvised explosive device blast that was reportedly targeting a tehsildar’s car in the Bajaur Agency’s Charmang area.
According to reports, four Levies personnel were injured in the blast, while Tehsildar Haseeb Khan remained unhurt.
A Bajaur district administration official confirmed that Tehsildar Haseeb was travelling to Kamangara Nawagai, when a remote-controlled IED, planted by the roadside, exploded near his convoy.
Security forces reached the spot and cordoned off the area. A search operation was launched to hunt down the culprits behind the attack.
The injured were identified as Riaz, Ismail, Abdul Samad and Suleman. Riaz and Ismail were shifted to Peshawar for treatment as they were said to be in critical condition, while the remaining two to District Headquarter Hospital Khar.
Later, Bajaur DC Usman Mehsood imposed Section 144 in the tribal district.
