ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Monday met with British High Commissioner Thomas Drew met at the Foreign Office on Monday.
The two discussed a variety of issues, including bilateral relations and other issues of mutual interest.
Qureshi and Drew also expressed satisfaction at the current state of relations between the two countries.
Drew emphasised the desire on Britain’s part to improve cooperation with Pakistan in all areas, especially in areas of peace and security, trade and investment, accountability, fighting organised crime, asset recovery and cooperation for development.
Qureshi, on the other hand, said that the hoped that trade and people to people contact can be improved.
He further expressed his appreciation for the role Department for International Development (DFID) has played in helping develop Pakistan’s health and education sectors.
