Bilawal says will attend APC being organised by Fazl

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Monday announced that his party will attend the All Parties Conference being summoned by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on October 31.

The announcement came shortly after Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif and PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari briefly met during the National Assembly session.

After the session, former president Zardari said that there was no update on the issue of APC, while Shehbaz Sharif said that he will make a statement on the issue after consultation.

Earlier, it was reported that Fazl failed to convince former prime minister Nawaz Sharif to attend the APC. Nawaz had said that a decision regarding attending the conference will be made after consulting PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif.

Earlier, PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari had agreed to attend the APC hosted by Maulana Fazl and said he was also willing to meet Nawaz.
