FIR registered against accused for throwing acid on mother, daughter in Quetta

Local police on Sunday registered a case against unidentified accused of allegedly throwing acid on two women in the Quetta’s Railway Housing Society area, a private media outlet reported.

A mother and her 23-year-old daughter had received burn injuries when unidentified culprits who were riding a motorcycle had acid on them on their way home on Friday evening.

“A case has been registered on the complaint of the victim [the mother] against unknown suspects,” said police official Mirwais Khan.

Both the victims have been admitted to Bolan Medical Complex hospital’s burn ward for medical treatment.

According to media reports, the acid has burnt the arm, face, and chest of the daughter, whereas, there was damage to the mother’s face as a result of the acid attack.
