Jenna Dewan files for divorce from ex Channing Tatum

Jenna Dewan has officially filed for divorce from ex Channing Tatum six months after the two announced their split, People Magazine has reported.

According to court documents, the former World of Dance host made the filing on Friday in Los Angeles citing irreconcilable differences and has submitted documents in which the mother of one asks for joint legal and physical custody of their 5-year-old daughter Everly.

Tatum also filed a response in which he requested joint physical and legal custody of Everly.

Dewan is also seeking child support and spousal support from Tatum as well as requested for her name to be restored to Jenna Dewan, instead of Jenna Dewan Tatum.

Jenna and Channing announced the end of their marriage of nearly nine years with joint Instagram posts.

“We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple. We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together,” their statement read. “Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now.”

“There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision — just two best-friends realizing it’s time to take some space and help each other life the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible,” it continued. “We are still a family and will always be loving dedicated parents to Everly. We won’t be commenting beyond this, and we thank you all in advance for respecting our family’s privacy. Sending lots of love to everyone, Chan & Jenna.”

According to a source, both Dewan and Tatum are back in the dating game.

“She has been on a few dates but doesn’t talk about a boyfriend,” a source close to Dewan said, adding, “Jenna is busy working on going back and forth between LA and Atlanta. She’s in a really great place.”

Another report informed that Tatum was dating singer Jessie J.

However, it’s very new and the couple wants to keep it low-key.
