VIDEO: Planning to visit P.F. Chang’s in Lahore? Keep your belongings as close as you can

LAHORE: In a video that has surfaced on social media, a suspicious man has been seen stealing a woman’s purse from right under her nose as she dines.

The thief who stole the bag was not a customer but someone who had casually walked in with a bright blue shopper in his hand. He can be seen entering the restaurant and taking a purposeful stroll around. He goes off the camera’s range but re-emerges in a matter of seconds. He then swiftly walks to a table where a woman has kept her handbag next to herself on the floor, grabs it and hides it behind his conspicuous shopper before walking out of the restaurant.

Surprisingly, neither the staff supposed to be monitoring the cameras nor the serving staff were bothered to spot anything suspicious. Not even the the waiter in front of whom the man picked up the purse do anything to prevent the theft.

Women often tend to hang their bags with their seats or put them down beside them as per handbag etiquette, however, this should be a warning to all restaurant goers and especially women to keep their belongings and bags within clear sight.

P.F. Chang’s is an international chain of restaurants that has opened its doors to the public in Pakistan only four days ago.
