LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has advertised a new post of Managing Director (MD) with an expected role in implementing the strategies involving future promotion of cricket in Pakistan especially in domestic cricket and governance structure.
The advertisement read that a candidate should hold a master’s degree or equivalent professional qualification from a recognized university. The age limit is restricted to 55 years.
Applications can be submitted till November 12 as the job will be offered on a contract basis initially spanning over three years.
The candidate is expected to successfully conduct international matches, “home or away-series including Pakistan Super League (PSL)”; working with the provincial and federal government to ensure the promotion and protection of cricket; improving the domestic cricket infrastructure; working with sponsors and broadcasters “to build effecting and lasting partnerships”, among others.
According to reports, Zahid Noorani, Arif Abbasi and Saleem Altaf are strong candidates for the post.
