Environmentalists campaign to keep the Indus clean: report

During a clean-up campaign in Multan, the Sindhu Bachao Tarla (struggle to save the Indus) activists collected garbage from the river bank at Taunsa Barrage.

According to a local media report, children, women and men participated in the campaign that was led by Fazal-e-Rab Lund, who stated that the restaurants on the river bank and their customers tend to throw garbage in and outside the river that led to pollution.

It was reported that the objective of the campaign was not only to keep the river clean but to educate people about the environment and create awareness about the impact of trash and debris.
