Only 50 per cent of the work to erect boundary walls around Islamabad has been completed as the project continues to face delays, a local media outlet reported on Sunday.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) had initiated the work upon directives by the Supreme Court in June this year.
Reasons for the delay include overlapping boundaries in the some areas, resistance by some housing society, and lack of coordination.
The project, which was initiated to prevent encroachment, is now expected to be completed by December 31.
