PFA seals six slaughterhouses in Lahore over unhygienic meat

LAHORE: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed six slaughterhouses, seized 6,500 kg of unhygienic meat and 100 kg of animal fats in the provincial capital on Saturday.

The PFA team on a tip-off regarding sale of substandard meat launched an operation in Bakra Mandi, Lahore.

Six slaughterhouses were also seized during the operation.

The seized meat was disposed off later and an investigation against the owners of the sealed slaughterhouses has been launched.
