Qatari FM meets Qureshi, discusses bilateral relations

ISLAMABAD: Qatar’s Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani arrived in Pakistan on Friday for a one-day visit after which he met his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi to discuss matters of mutual interest.

Foreign Office Spokesman said that the Qatari FM and Qureshi discussed bilateral relations and issues related to mutual interest in the meeting.

According to reports, the Qatari foreign minister will also meet PM Imran Khan during his visit to Islamabad. The dignitaries will converse on matters pertaining to regional security and the Pak-Qatar Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) project, they added.

Furthermore, PM Khan is expected to undertake a second visit to Saudi Arabia on October 23.

The premier will tour Saudi Arabia for a day before his visit to China next month. He is expected to hold talks on economic cooperation with Saudi officials during his visit.
