MUZAFFARGARH: A man shot his sister dead on Thursday night for allegedly refusing a marriage proposal of his preference.
According to sources within the Kandai police station, Shoaib wanted his sister to accept a marriage proposal of his choice.
When she rejected the proposal in favour of a suitor she liked, the siblings got into a heated argument which ended with Shoaib shooting his sister and fleeing the crime scene, police said.
The woman’s body has been sent to the Rural Health Centre for a post-mortem examination and an FIR has been registered in the case.
