Award-winning actor and singer-songwriter Fakhre Alam, who is on a 28-day journey across the globe, has entered the Indian airspace with a special message for the neighbouring country.
“I am here with a message of love and peace… I hope that all of us can work beyond our differences and stop being hostage to the bitter history that we’ve had,” he said in a video on his Twitter account as he entered Amritsar as part of ‘Mission Parwaaz’.
We need to move forward because our people deserve better from the leadership of both the countries, he said and added that instead of consuming rhetoric of hate, people should come forward to make the planet a better place. “We should work together. I hope that someday we can work together.”

“It’s the same land. As I fly over it I see it’s the same texture, the same topology… I see no borders from up here,” Fakhar said.
He added that there was a need to understand each other better and promote an atmosphere of positivity.
“Humanity should be above petty politics.”
