ISLAMABAD: The Airport Security Force (ASF) foiled a bid to smuggle foreign currency to Dubai and arrested an accused at Islamabad International Airport on Wednesday.

The ASF sources said that during the search of baggage of a passenger named Abdul Wakeel leaving for Dubai through Pakistan International Airline (PIA) flight PK-233, one lac (100,000) Saudi Riyals were recovered.

The ASF arrested the accused with recovered foreign currency. The detained Abdul Wakeel was later handed over to Customs officials for further investigation.
