Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Hussain Chaudhry on Monday directed concerned authorities to constitute a board for verification of degrees of employees appointed to Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television (PTV) after 2008.
A three-member board headed by director general of the internal publicity wing of the Ministry of Information will carry out the verification process.
Verification process covering all employees will start with the senior officers and it will be completed within one month.
In case of failure of verification of degrees by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), the concerned officers and employees shall be liable to re-deposit the received salaries. Notices will also be issued to those officers who made the appointments.
