LAHORE: Legendary singer Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi has been hospitalised owing to gallbladder pain and will be undergoing surgery for it, as per his doctors.
Attaullah hails from Isakhel, Mianwali and is widely considered a Seraiki artist, although he has recorded albums in Punjabi and Urdu as well. The singer has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the Pride of Performance award in Pakistan and a Lifetime Achievement Award from Queen Elizabeth II. The Guinness Book of World Records also features him for releasing the highest number of audio albums.
