PTCL hosts reception to honour employees

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) hosts a reception at the PTCL Academy in honour of its employees from various parts of the country who have returned after performing Hajj sponsored by the company.

The event was attended by senior officials, along with PTCL Chief Human Resource Officer Syed Mazhar Hussain. Expressing his views on the occasion, Mazhar Hussain said that the PTCL Hajj Scheme was a step in the right direction to provide its employees with this golden opportunity to perform Hajj and undertake this sacred journey on company’s expense.

He said that this opportunity was being provided to the employees based purely on their best performance and through fair and transparent balloting. He said that every year 40 employees were selected to perform Hajj, which was one of the most significant religious and sacred obligations.

He said that this year they also held balloting for two reserved seats for female employees and their Mehrams, who have also performed Hajj under the PTCL Hajj Scheme. He said that the PTCL management, being cognizant for the welfare of the employees and their families, always endeavours to provide opportunities for their well-being.
